Welcome, and thank you for your interest in SnackShot (“SnackShot,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). These Terms of Service are a legally binding contract between you and SnackShot regarding your use of the app and related services (collectively, the “Service”).
BY CREATING AN ACCOUNT, SUBSCRIBING, OR OTHERWISE ACCESSING OR USING THE SERVICE, YOU AGREE TO BE BOUND BY THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS, INCLUDING SNACKSHOT’S PRIVACY POLICY (TOGETHER, THESE “TERMS”). IF YOU DO NOT AGREE TO THESE TERMS, YOU MAY NOT USE THE SERVICE.
SnackShot is an artificial-intelligence–powered wellness education tool that analyzes user-submitted food images and user-selected wellness goals to generate generalized educational insights, scores, explanations, patterns, suggestions related to food choices and lifestyle behaviors, and optional features such as recipes, plan-building tools, and wellness challenges designed to support food awareness and lifestyle learning.
The Service is provided solely for general educational and wellness purposes. SnackShot does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, disease management, or disease prevention, and the Service is not intended to substitute for professional medical care, clinical judgment, or individualized healthcare advice. SnackShot is not a medical device and has not been evaluated or approved by the FDA.
SnackShot uses probabilistic artificial intelligence and machine-learning models. Food recognition and ingredient identification are estimates and may misidentify foods, ingredients, or preparation methods. Outputs are generated based on patterns in data and may be incomplete, inaccurate, or not applicable to your individual circumstances. You acknowledge and agree that you are solely responsible for how you interpret and use any information provided by the Service.
You agree that you will not use the Service for:
The Service is not a medical device, is not regulated by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), and is not intended to evaluate, diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease, including but not limited to fatty liver disease, diabetes, IBS, inflammatory conditions, or metabolic disorders.
References within the Service or in marketing materials to topics such as digestion, gut regularity, inflammation, blood sugar, liver wellness, weight balance, energy, focus, or longevity refer to general wellness patterns and lifestyle education only, not to the treatment or management of medical conditions.
Any meal ideas, recipes, plan-building features, or wellness challenges provided through the Service are for general informational and educational purposes only. These features are not individualized nutrition therapy, diet prescriptions, or medical treatment plans and should not be interpreted as personalized medical or healthcare advice.
Use of the Service does not create a doctor-patient relationship, healthcare provider relationship, or any other professional relationship between you and SnackShot or any individual associated with the Service.
Dr. Saurabh Sethi, MD, and any other individuals with medical credentials who may promote, discuss, or reference the Service do so solely in an educational capacity. No licensed physician is providing medical care, diagnosis, or treatment through the Service, and no physician-patient relationship is formed.
You should always seek the advice of a licensed physician or other qualified healthcare professional regarding any medical condition, symptoms, dietary change, or health concern. Never disregard, delay, or substitute professional medical advice because of information obtained through the Service.
SnackShot does not guarantee that suggested recipes, ingredients, or food recommendations are safe for individuals with allergies, intolerances, or other dietary restrictions. Users are solely responsible for reviewing ingredients and determining whether any food or recommendation is appropriate for their personal health needs.
You must create an account using sign-in options provided by Apple or Google to access the Service. By creating an account, you represent that all information provided is accurate and up to date.
SnackShot may integrate with third-party tools for analytics, data storage, or processing. Your use of the Service is subject to these third-party tools' terms and conditions, which are incorporated into these Terms by reference. SnackShot is not responsible for the practices of third-party services.
SnackShot may include affiliate links to products or services offered by third parties, including Amazon.com, Amazon.in, and other retailers. When users click these links and make purchases, SnackShot may earn a commission at no additional cost to the user.

We may terminate or suspend your access immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason whatsoever, including without limitation if you breach these Terms.
Upon termination, your right to use the Service will cease immediately.
Notwithstanding any damages that you might incur, the entire liability of SnackShot and any of its suppliers under any provision of these Terms and your exclusive remedy for all of the foregoing shall be limited to the amount actually paid by you through the Service or 100 USD if you haven't purchased anything through the Service.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall SnackShot or its suppliers be liable for any special, incidental, indirect, or consequential damages whatsoever (including, but not limited to, damages for loss of profits, loss of data, business interruption, personal injury, or loss of privacy) arising out of or in any way related to the use of or inability to use the Service, third-party software and/or third-party hardware used with the Service, or otherwise in connection with any provision of these Terms, even if SnackShot or any supplier has been advised of the possibility of such damages and even if the remedy fails of its essential purpose.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of implied warranties or limitation of liability for incidental or consequential damages, which means that some of the above limitations may not apply. In these jurisdictions, each party's liability will be limited to the greatest extent permitted by law.
The Service is provided to you "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" and with all faults and defects without warranty of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted under applicable law, SnackShot, on its own behalf and on behalf of its affiliates and its and their respective licensors and service providers, expressly disclaims all warranties, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise, with respect to the Service, including all implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement.
Without limitation to the foregoing, SnackShot makes no warranty or representation of any kind that the Service will:

SnackShot reserves the right to modify or discontinue the Service at any time without prior notice. Material changes to these Terms will be communicated to users with at least 30 days' notice. Continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
